Frequently Asked Questions
Q. Are you insured?
A. Yes. I have £5 million public liability insurance with
the NFU, to protect you and your house.
Q. How long have you been trading?
A. I qualified as a bricklayer in 1987 and have worked in the
trade ever since. Initially working with a variety of different
companies learning all aspects of the business. I first traded
independently in 1990 and added the complementary business
Waterside Windows to my company in 2008.
Q. Is my job too small? My budget is tight and
all I want is a small garden wall; my husband has had a go at
similar projects in the past, but it never looks quite
right.
A. No job is too small. Our work is very competitively
priced and my team and I are all professionals, so every job is
done to the same high standard.
Q. Is my job too big? I have a plot of land
with planning permission for 3 houses, could you really manage my
project from conception to completion?
A. No job is too big. I have managed the construction of
80 homes on a large plot and am able to co-ordinate all work
necessary to bring your project to life and finish it on-time and
within-budget.
Q. Why aren't you a member of one of the many builders'
organisations?
A. Every one of the plethora of these affiliations /
organisations charge for membership (some demand a percentage of
turnover in order to join) and I'd have to pass that cost on to
you. I firmly believe good reputation should be earned not
paid for. I'm a local builder, having traded in the area for
many years so I commend you to just ask around or give me a try and
let me earn a good reputation with you.
